DAY 1
Arrive to Georgia. Tbilisi city tour
The representative of InterMICE will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After accommodation, we depart for a tour of Tbilisi. The name of the city originates from the Georgian word “warm”. Tbilisi is a beautiful, ancient, historical & cultural administrative capital of Georgia. We will visit OLD City and our professional guide will familiarize with its sights. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the evening dinner in a Georgian restaurant, with live performance of folk music and/or dancing.
DAY 2
Tbilisi – Mskheta – Sapara – Vardzia
After breakfast we will drive you towards Mtskheta. It was founded by the ancient Meschian tribes in the 5th century BC. We will visit one of the oldest monasteries _ Djvari . Jvari stands on the rocky mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking the town of Mtskheta. After exursion we will have lunch at the Georgian restaurant.
Then we will continue our way and will visit Sapara Monastery, a road is a little bit difficult and this place is not very popular in tourists itineraries, but fanatical views are opening from here. The old monastery is in very classical and strong stile. After this we will drive towards Vardzia. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Vardzia.
DAY 3
Vardzia – Timotesubani – Borjomi
After breakfast we will visit the town of Vardzia, a grandiose cave town built in the 12th century, is associated with Queen Tamar and Shota Rustaveli, the author of the heroic epic “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin”. Lunch en route. After this we will visit the Timotesubani Monastery complex.
After this we will drive towards Borjomi. Here you will have the opportunity to have a walk in the local park and taste the original Borjomi water at the spring in the park. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Borjomi.
DAY 4
Borjomi – Kutaisi – Gelati – Prometheus cave – Tbilisi
After breakfast we will drive towards Kutaisi. First, we will visit Gelati monastery, which is under the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites. It was founded in the 12th century by King David the IV, named ‘the Builder’. Lunch in Kutaisi. Then we will visit Prometheus cave, near Kutaisi. The cave was discovered in 1984. It has a specific geological significance.
Concluding the tour we will drive you towards Tbilisi. Dinner in the restaurant. Overnight in hotel in Tbilisi.
DAY 5
Free day – Transfer to the Airport Tbilisi
